2Mexico City — Teotihuacan — Mexico City

The day begins at the Plaza of the Three Cultures before continuing to the impressive ruins of Teotihuacan. You'll pause at a local artisan center, then return toward the city to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. After heading back to the hotel, the remainder of the day is yours.

3Mexico City — Tepoztlan — Cuernavaca — Taxco

Depart for Tepoztlan, a town tucked beneath a large green hill topped with a small pyramid, with time to explore. In Cuernavaca you'll learn about the Hernán Cortes Palace and the cathedral, with free time for lunch. Continue to Taxco for a city visit and overnight stay in this hillside silver town.

4Taxco — Chilpancingo — Acapulco

Travel through the mountains to Chilpancingo de los Bravos, where your guide accompanies you into the Regional Museum. Continue to Acapulco for time on a popular beach with the chance to have lunch. In the afternoon, admission and a tour of La Fortaleza (the San Diego Fortress) are included, followed by a hotel transfer and free time.

5Acapulco — Zihuatanejo

Trace the Pacific coast north to Zihuatanejo, a delightful seaside destination. An included boat ride whisks you to Playa Las Gatas, where you can swim, unwind, and enjoy lunch before returning by boat. The evening brings accommodation and free time.

6Zihuatanejo — Janitzio — Pátzcuaro

Cross desert landscapes into the lush green mountains of Michoacán. At Lake Pátzcuaro you'll board a boat to Janitzio Island, home to the Purépecha community, with time for lunch, a walk through its traditional streets, and an optional climb up the towering statue of José María Morelos. Return by boat and close out the day in Pátzcuaro.

7Pátzcuaro — Morelia — Cuitzeo del Porvenir — Guadalajara

Set off for Morelia, the capital of Michoacán, then continue to Cuitzeo del Porvenir, located beside Mexico's second-largest lake. The journey finishes in Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco and a colonial city famous as the birthplace of mariachi music and tequila.

8Guadalajara — Tequila — Guadalajara

A visit in Guadalajara includes entry to the Cabañas Hospice, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You'll then travel to the picturesque town of Tequila, with time for a stroll and lunch. Entrance to a distillery is included, where you'll discover how the famous Mexican spirit is crafted, before heading back to Guadalajara for free time.
