The deposit: authorized first, charged on confirmation

When you book a tour, we authorize your card for a deposit of 20% of the total tour price. An authorization is a hold, not a charge — no money leaves your account at this point.

We then confirm your places with the tour operator, Europamundo Vacations. Once your booking is confirmed — usually within 48 hours — we capture the deposit and email you your confirmation. If the operator cannot confirm your departure, we release the authorization in full and you pay nothing.

Your booking is "on hold" until confirmed

Between the moment you book and the moment we confirm, your booking is on hold. It is not yet a contract for travel. Prices and availability shown on this site are subject to operator confirmation; in the rare case the operator returns a different price, we will contact you before charging anything, and you may cancel at no cost.

When the balance is due

The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. We will email you a payment link well before the due date. If you book within 60 days of departure, the full amount is payable at confirmation instead of a deposit. Your booking documents will state the exact date that applies to your departure.

Changes and cancellations

Changes and cancellations follow the general conditions of Europamundo Vacations, the tour operator. Fees depend on how far before departure you cancel; changes such as switching departure dates are often possible at little or no cost with enough notice. The operator's full general terms and conditions are published on the Europamundo website.

Before your deposit is captured, you can cancel at no cost — just email us. After confirmation, contact us as soon as your plans change and we will get you the exact figures for your booking before you decide anything.

Prices and currency

Tour prices are set by the operator in US dollars. If you choose to pay in Canadian dollars, we convert from USD at a fixed exchange rate at the time of booking, rounded up to the nearest $5 — the CAD price you see when booking is the CAD price you pay. All prices are per person and subject to operator confirmation at the time of booking.

What the price does not include

Unless a tour page states otherwise, the price does not include:

• International flights to and from Mexico
• The final hotel-to-airport transfer at the end of your tour
• Optional excursions
• Tips for guides and drivers
• Meals beyond those listed in the itinerary, and personal expenses

Hotels with daily breakfast, English-speaking guides, coach travel, the arrival airport transfer and basic travel insurance are included on every tour. Each tour page lists its exact inclusions.

Who you're dealing with

Mexico Vacations is an independent travel agency. Your tour is operated by Europamundo Vacations, a JTB Group company, under its general conditions of carriage and service. We act as your agent for the booking: we take your deposit, confirm with the operator, and support you before and during travel.
