Arrive in Mexico City where a transfer takes you straight to your hotel. Enjoy free time for the rest of the day.
A guided sightseeing tour reveals the highlights of Mexico City, followed by a transfer to the Basilica of Guadalupe. In the afternoon you drift through the canals of Xochimilco aboard a flower-decked trajinera boat. In the evening, an included transfer brings you to the vibrant Plaza de Garibaldi, where dinner is included.
En route east you visit the Ex-Hacienda de Chautla, celebrated for its English-style castle standing in the middle of an artificial lake surrounded by forest. Continue to the charming town of Cholula before traveling on to Puebla, a historic city famous for its cuisine and beautiful colonial architecture. Overnight in this lively, dynamic city.
Journey to Oaxaca, arriving in the late morning, and visit Monte Albán, the most magnificent of the Zapotec cities overlooking the Oaxaca Valley, with admission and a guided tour included. You then return to Oaxaca with free time to wander this fascinating city of Aztec heritage.
Travel through mountain landscapes and picturesque villages to the Pueblo Mágico of San Pablo Villa de Mitla. Crossing the Oaxacan sierras, you'll pause for an included lunch before reaching Tuxtla Gutiérrez, capital of Chiapas.
A boat carries you through the dramatic depths of the Sumidero Canyon, followed by a stroll through Chiapa del Corzo. You then step into the Mayan world in the villages of Zinacantan and San Juan de Chamula. Arrive in the lovely colonial city of San Cristobal de las Casas, where the evening is free.
From San Cristóbal you set out to explore the Grutas del Mamut caves and the scenic El Arcotete Tourist Park. The outing wraps up at Rancho Nuevo Ecotourism Park, tucked into a peaceful conifer forest where horseback riding and scenic hiking trails await. Return to San Cristóbal with free time to enjoy at your own pace.
Today's excursion visits Moxviquil, a learning community devoted to sustainability where activities such as birdwatching and hiking are on offer. You'll also tour the Maya Medicine Museum for insight into traditional healing. Afterwards, return to the hotel with the rest of the afternoon free.
A transfer takes you to Tuxtla Gutiérrez International Airport for your onward flight to Mexico City (flight not included). This marks the end of our services.
