My Heart Beats for Mexico

Welcome to Mexico! An included transfer whisks you from the airport to your hotel, leaving the rest of the day free at your leisure.

Begin at the Plaza of the Three Cultures, then continue to the monumental archaeological site of Teotihuacan. A stop at a local artisan center follows before returning to the city to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Back at the hotel, enjoy the remainder of the day free.

Drive to Tepoztlan, tucked beside a green hillside topped with a small pyramid, with time to explore. In Cuernavaca, discover the Hernán Cortes Palace and the cathedral, with free time for lunch. Continue to hillside Taxco for a city visit and overnight stay.

Wind through the mountains to Chilpancingo de los Bravos, where a guided visit to the Regional Museum is included. Onward to Acapulco for beach time at its celebrated shoreline, followed by an included afternoon admission and tour of La Fortaleza (San Diego Fortress). You are then transferred to the hotel with free time.

Continue up the Pacific coast to Zihuatanejo, a delightful seaside destination. A boat ride to Playa Las Gatas is included, giving you the chance to swim, relax, and have lunch before returning by boat to your accommodation and free time.

Traverse desert landscapes into Michoacán's verdant mountains, arriving at Lake Pátzcuaro to board a boat for Janitzio Island, home to the Purépecha community. Enjoy lunch, stroll the island's traditional streets, and optionally climb to the towering José María Morelos statue. Return by boat and finish the day in Pátzcuaro.

Depart for Morelia, the capital of Michoacán, then visit Cuitzeo del Porvenir beside the country's second-largest lake. The day ends in Guadalajara, Jalisco's colonial capital and the birthplace of mariachi music and tequila.

A visit to Guadalajara includes entry to the UNESCO World Heritage Cabañas Hospice. Next, the town of Tequila awaits with time for a stroll and lunch, plus an included distillery tour revealing the secrets of Mexico's signature spirit. Return to Guadalajara with free time.

Arrive in Guanajuato, where an afternoon city tour showcases this UNESCO-listed university city of steep slopes, narrow streets, and historic churches. An included cable car ride lifts you to the El Pípila monument for a magnificent panorama.

Journey through the mountains to Dolores Hidalgo, cradle of Mexican independence, then visit the Sanctuary of Atotonilco and beautiful UNESCO-listed San Miguel de Allende. In the afternoon, arrive in the lively colonial city of Querétaro.

Spend a free morning in Querétaro, a 16th-century city whose historic center brims with graceful plazas and baroque churches. In the afternoon, an included visit to Hacienda Atongo features a theatrical experience and a refreshing drink made with the estate's own wine, before returning to Querétaro.

Discover the Pueblo Mágico of San Sebastián de Bernal, known for its picturesque character and skilled textile artisans, then head to Tequisquiapan, famed for mineral spas and colonial-style architecture. The excursion includes a guided visit to the San Patricio Winery and the Bocanegra Cheese Cellar, complete with a tasting of regional wines.

A transfer brings you to the bus station to board a regular scheduled bus to Mexico City. On arrival, you are dropped off at your hotel.

After breakfast, the tour comes to a close. The hotel-to-airport transfer is not included.
