Day-by-day itinerary

1Mexico City

Touch down in Mexico and enjoy an included transfer to your hotel, with the rest of the day free to unwind or explore on your own.

2Mexico City

A guided sightseeing tour reveals the capital's landmarks before a visit to the Basilica of Guadalupe. In the afternoon, board a vibrant flower-decked trajinera for a boat ride along the canals of Xochimilco. The day ends with an evening transfer to festive Plaza de Garibaldi, dinner included.

3Mexico City — Ex-Hacienda de Chautla — Cholula — Puebla

Journey out of the capital to the Ex-Hacienda de Chautla, known for its English-style castle set on an artificial lake surrounded by forest. Continue to the delightful town of Cholula before reaching Puebla, a city prized for both its culinary heritage and its striking colonial architecture. You'll spend the night in this lively, dynamic city.

4Puebla — Monte Albán — Oaxaca

Travel south to Oaxaca, arriving in the late morning. A highlight awaits at Monte Albán, the greatest of the Zapotec cities, dramatically perched above the Oaxaca Valley — admission and a guided tour are included. Back in Oaxaca, enjoy free time to soak up this fascinating city with deep Aztec roots.

5Oaxaca — San Pablo Villa de Mitla — Tuxtla

Wind through mountain scenery and charming villages to reach the Pueblo Mágico of San Pablo Villa de Mitla. After crossing the Oaxacan sierras — with lunch included along the way — you'll arrive in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, the capital of Chiapas.

6Tuxtla — Sumidero Canyon — Chiapa del Corzo — Zinacantan — San Juan de Chamula — San Cristóbal

Board a boat to sail through the towering walls of the spectacular Sumidero Canyon, then take a walking tour of Chiapa del Corzo. Later, visit the villages of Zinacantan and San Juan de Chamula, where Mayan traditions remain vividly alive. You'll finish in San Cristóbal de las Casas, a beautiful colonial city, with free time to explore.

7San Cristóbal — Mexico City

Enjoy some final hours in San Cristóbal before transferring to the Tuxtla Gutiérrez airport for a scheduled flight back to Mexico City. On arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel for the night.
