Travel to the scenic Pueblo Mágico of El Oro de Hidalgo, then step into mining history at the Mina de las Dos Estrellas. Continue to Tlalpujahua, famous across Mexico for its artisan Christmas decorations. Your day concludes in Pátzcuaro, one of the country's loveliest colonial towns.
Depart for Morelia, the capital of Michoacán, before pausing in Cuitzeo del Porvenir, which sits beside Mexico's second-largest lake. The journey then continues west to Guadalajara, the colonial capital of Jalisco and the acknowledged birthplace of mariachi music and tequila.
The day opens with a visit in Guadalajara that includes entry to the Cabañas Hospice, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From there you'll travel to the picturesque town of Tequila, with time to stroll and enjoy lunch.
