2Mexico City — Teotihuacan — Mexico City

Begin at the Plaza of the Three Cultures before continuing to the monumental archaeological site of Teotihuacan, with entry included. You'll browse a local artisan center, then return toward the city for a visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Once back at the hotel, the remainder of the day is yours.

3Mexico City — Tuxtla Gutiérrez — Sumidero Canyon — San Cristóbal de las Casas

A transfer takes you to the airport for your included flight to Tuxtla Gutiérrez. On landing you'll be greeted and driven straight to the Sumidero Canyon for a thrilling scenic boat ride beneath its towering cliffs. The route then climbs to San Cristóbal de las Casas, one of Mexico's most beautiful colonial towns.

4San Cristóbal — San Juan Chamula — San Lorenzo Zinacantán — San Cristóbal

Discover San Juan Chamula, home to its extraordinary Church of San Juan and a bustling central plaza where villagers trade produce and livestock. Next comes San Lorenzo Zinacantán, followed by a guided city tour of San Cristóbal de las Casas. Time is set aside for shopping and lunch.

5San Cristóbal — Grutas del Mamut — El Arcotete — San Cristóbal

Set off to explore the Grutas del Mamut caverns and the lovely El Arcotete Tourist Park. A visit to Rancho Nuevo Ecotourism Park follows, nestled in tranquil conifer woodland where you can try horseback riding or follow scenic hiking paths. Later you'll head back to San Cristóbal with free time to enjoy the town independently.

6San Cristóbal — Ocosingo — Agua Azul — Misol-Ha — Palenque

Journey through the mountainous heart of Chiapas, passing traditional areas inhabited by Mayan communities, with a stop in Ocosingo. You'll then enter Agua Azul National Park, where lunch is included, and later walk beside the waterfalls of Misol-Ha. The day finishes in Palenque, where dinner is included.

7Palenque — Campeche

Explore the magnificent ruins of the ancient Mayan city of Palenque before crossing the state of Tabasco toward the Gulf of Mexico. You'll arrive in Campeche, a port city renowned for its colonial buildings and imposing fortifications, and sit down to an included dinner.

8Campeche — Mérida

Continue into the state of Yucatán to reach Mérida, a capital celebrated for its blend of colonial and Mayan heritage. The afternoon is free to explore at your own pace, and in the evening an included transfer takes you to the Zócalo for time to stroll and enjoy dinner. Overnight in Mérida.

9Mérida — Izamal — Chichén Itzá — Río Lagartos

Today unveils the Yucatán, starting in the golden 'magical town' of Izamal. You'll then stand before Chichén Itzá, the most important monument of Mayan civilization, and enjoy an included traditional Mayan lunch. The route ends at the fishing village and biosphere reserve of Río Lagartos.

10Río Lagartos — Valladolid — Cenote Choj Ha — Cancún

The morning brings an included boat excursion among mangroves teeming with birdlife. After exploring the pleasant historic center of Valladolid, the afternoon is devoted to the Choj Ha cenote, where jungle surroundings give way to a dry cave and a shimmering underground lake within a humid cavern.
